Bone to Head Up P.G. Construction Association
Prince George, B.C.- The Prince George Construction Association and BC Construction Association-North Board of Directors have announced Scott Bone as their new CEO.
Bone is no stranger to the community having spent more than 20 years working for the City of Prince George as the Manager of Supply and Fleet Services. Most recently he was with TransCanada Pipelines in the role as the Local Contract Representative responsible for promoting employment and contracting opportunities associated with major pipeline projects.
“We know that Scott’s proven record as a results-oriented, strategic leader will be critical as we develop and implement programs to grow and serve our membership of over 250 members in the industrial, commercial and institutional construction industry” said Board Chairs Iain Elder and Ken Morland.
Bone says he is looking forward to “Working with the Board of Directors and members as well as government/tendering authorities across Northern BC to promote construction investment, high industry standards, and effective practices”
He replaces Roz Thorn who has retired after 48 years with the Association.

LOL
Interesting choice of words in the headline.
Mixed feelings about this. A substantial amount of arrogance was common day to day while at the CoPG – imho.
The PGCA has had a wonderful personality for years. Hope it doesn`t change. Leopard – spots – history…time will tell.
I hope he does better for the PGCA than he did at the City.
LOL is right.
So that’s a full-time job? What does the PGCA CEO do?
Operates the plan room, ensures members comply with the bylaws of the association, keeps up-to-date on issues related to construction and contractors both in general as well as more specific concerns of memebers, promotes and maintains membership programs, lobbies for the construction association, takes directions from the Board for any other duties.
That would be a start as I see it.
Thanks gopg2015. I didn’t know much about what the PGCA does.
