Prince George, B.C. – Good news for motorists in Prince George.
The price of gas has dropped 5 cents per litre over the past two days to $105.9.
The drop has led to good sized lineups at Costco while its closest competitors are charging 5 cents more per litre.
According to GasBuddy, the average price in B.C. at the moment is $114.9 while the cheapest, 98.9, can be found in Courtenay.

Has been below a dollar down south for a long time.
I am beginning to think maybe we are getting hit with Vancouver’s transit surtax of 14 1/2 cents a liter, and we aren’t getting the transit.
Not the heavy tax load down south and no BS carbon tax.
Gassed up here in Courtenay yesterday for 98.9 at Costco; most other gas stations are close with most in the $1.00.9 range but also as high as $1.100.9.
Of course it dropped…..it’s after the long weekend where they jacked the price up to begin with.
For a nickel a litre more I go to the BCR site Super Save for full service. Minimal wait time, checks the oil and even loaded my sand bags.
Not sure we all want to drive out to the BCR site to fill and if not for Costco you would most likely be paying 20 cents a litre more to fill there.
I`d bet if it wasn’t for COSTCO the local gas station BANDITS would be charging us a dollar forty per liter.
