Prince George, B.C. – Elections Canada says voter turnout for today’s 42nd federal election has been steady at polling stations across the province.
Returning officer Lorraine Grant says there are 201 regular voting day ballot boxes plus five mobile boxes in the Cariboo-Prince George riding alone.
One polling attendant at the John McInnes Centre in Prince George described the turnout this morning as “brisk.”
Over 26 million Canadians are eligible to cast ballots this election, while over 3.6 million have already done so at advance polls.
Polls remain open until 7 tonight.
