Cougar Named to Team WHL For Canada Russia Series

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Cougars star forward Jansen Harkins has been chosen to represent the Western Hockey League and Canada at this year’s CHL Canada Russia Series.
Harkins, who was drafted in the 2nd round of this year’s NHL draft by the Winnipeg Jets, is no stranger to international play helping Canada to bronze at this year’s World Under-18 championships in Switzerland.
He also played for Canada’s gold winning squad at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in 2014 and was captain for silver medal winning Team Pacific during the 2013-14 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
In 149 games with the Cougars, Harkins has scored 31 goals and added 87 assists.
The six game Canada Russia Series kicks off November 9th in Kelowna.
