Routine Traffic Stop Nets Guns, Cash, Drugs

Mackenzie, B.C. – RCMP in Mackenzie are calling it a ‘trifecta’ as a routine traffic stop in their area netted a some surprises.
Last Thursday evening ( Oct. 15th) members of the Mackenzie RCMP conducted a vehicle stop in Mackenzie, BC. That stop lead officers to seize what is believed to be cocaine along with methamphetamine, lots of cash, weapons, break and enter tools and a stolen rifle from the vehicle.
An adult male from Prince George remains in custody and faces charges of;
- Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking,
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime,
- Possession of Break in Instruments,
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
Detachment Commander Sgt. Brian Donaldson said, “This was a trifecta traffic stop, not only did we prevent those drugs from hitting the streets in our community, we were able to recover a stolen rifle, and make an arrest.”
