Prince George, B.C.- An incident at 20th and Queensway this afternoon saw the arrest of two suspects in a stolen truck investigation.
RCMP say they received a report of a Chev pick up truck having been stolen from a Quadrant Crescent residence early this morning.
At approximately 3:45 PM this afternoon, members of the Prince George RCMP’s General Duty Section observed the stolen vehicle being driven along 20th Avenue. Multiple officers attempted to pull over the vehicle near the intersection of 20th and Queensway. The driver accelerated and collided with two police vehicles, one fully marked and the other unmarked.
The two occupants fled the vehicle on foot and did not comply with police instructions. The driver was subsequently apprehended with the assistance of Police Service Dog ‘Dero’, while the passenger was arrested a short distance away after a brief foot chase with officers.
The youth male driver and the 19 year old male passenger are facing a number of Criminal Code charges. Both will be held in custody until they can appear in Provincial Court later this week.
If you have any information about these Criminal offences, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300.

Another safe take down, and the dog got his licks in, good work!
Hope the dog doesn’t get infected.
Of course they will work and pay for the repairs the two police vehicles and the stolen truck? It is just a rhetorical question as I already know that we (the taxpayers) are on the hook again!
Slap on the wrist, more slaps if you do it again! And they know it!
Put a bullet in them. Just save us the trouble of dealing with them for the next 50 years.
Have I mentioned that I hate thieves?
Perhaps the famous Sheriff Joe Arpaio can take care of them in his bare bones outdoor jail in Maricopa County Arizona. He houses thousands of inmates in a penal camp which consists of tents and fencing supplied for free from military surplus. Cold showers at six in the morning followed by labour assignments such as cleaning garbage and brush along freeways, landscaping ditches with picks and shovels.
Meals (two per day) have at its main ingredient baloney and some food donated by sponsors. Typical food cost is less than a dollar per day per prisoner.
Once released they never commit another crime, being too afraid to end up at Joe’s again.
Great. Another youth driving (so no time for auto theft. Just misunderstood you know. Acting out). Someone tried to steal my truck this morning. Wonder if these two were around my area as I am close to where they stole this truck? Too bad my dogs didn’t get out when they were around. Then I would get charged, I know.
Put these scumbags to work in the community.
For the rednecks out there – please read and educate yourselves.
From the source https://corrections.az.gov/mission-statement
The current recidivism rate for Arizona inmates is 37.5%, including new felony convictions (2,763, 18.2%) and technical violations of conditions of supervision (2,935, 19.3%) The US overall is about 60%.
For Canada – http://www.csc-scc.gc.ca/research/forum/e053/e053h-eng.shtml it’s lower – at 35%.
Yet Norway is way down at 20%. http://www.businessinsider.com/why-norways-prison-system-is-so-successful-2014-12

Obviously getting tough on crime doesn’t work, just like the war on drugs. Education and opportunity do.
So, the question to ask yourself is, are you a pigeon? http://www.funnybits.mobi/2014/03/arguing-with-idiots-is-like-playing.html
No recidivism with my redneck solution :-)
Thanks for the laugh AG . I’ve never met a right wing Chess player.
