Prince George, B.C. – Another reminder that winter is near.

Daylight Savings Time officially ends at 2 a.m. tomorrow morning, meaning you should move your clocks back one hour before going to bed tonight.

Previous statistics from ICBC suggest anyone who drives should take the extra hour and get some rest.

In the two weeks following the time change, ICBC stats show a 16% increase in the average number of crashes in the late afternoon in B.C. compared to the two weeks before the switch is made.

The extra hour of sleep doesn’t translate to safety says ICBC as a survey it conducted indicated 30% of drivers overcompensate for that hour by staying up later.

Lets just leave it alone and save daylight all year round…
This change is senseless in this day and age.

Exactly! It is a useless pain in the you-know-what!

Agree to the above comments..in 4 months will be reverting to Daylight Saving time.

Has turn into a reason to change the batteries in your clock while you have them off the wall.

Yeah, time to get rid of this time change. It’s known to have an impact on people mentally. More car accudents etc.. So time to stop the change.

I’m opposed to Daylight Savings Time too. Some countries have tried DST and rejected it. Japan was subjected to DST during the Occupation. The first thing the Japanese government did when the the Occupation ended was get rid of Daylight Savings Time.

Accudents best typo ever @ 250 thanks PVal . I wish it were mine . Nice to see the typing natsees have finally learnt to read through the typos . You had to turn off spell check to do that , right ?

I always like how accident statistics are brought up. Wonder what the Monday morning accident statistics are? A person who works regular hours all week then irregular hours on the weekend for whatever reason, is usually not tip top Monday morning.

it’s only an hour. Get over it. It’s not going to change.
