Prince George, B.C. – The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help save its Tree of Lights Campaign.sally anne

Business manager Bill Glasgow says they need to fill 100 shifts: five volunteers from 10am to 1pm and five volunteers from 1pm to 4pm from November 5 to November 12.

Volunteers will help string the 50-60 foot tree with bulbs atop the Coast Inn of The North.

Those interested in volunteering can call 250-961-4029 and must meet the following requirements:

1) Must be able to climb a ladder.
2) Must be dressed warmly including proper footwear (steel toe boots if possible). Boots will be on site but there’s no guarantee the correct size will be available.
3) Be of legal age for consent as the Coast requires a waiver be signed by all volunteers.

Glasgow notes in past years the Coast has strung the bulbs but this year has asked for some assistance.

“Please help us keep this tradition alive,” he says. “We are grateful for any help you can provide.”
