Prince George, B.C. – A two vehicle crash has slowed traffic at 15th Avenue and Alward Street this hour.
It happened at approximately 11:15 and involved two small cars. BC Ambulance attended the scene though injuries did not appear to be serious.
Due to the busy nature of the area a homeowner nearby commented to 250News it ought to have an overhead crosswalk.

Glad everyone is ok. Not a bad idea for a crosswalk, however, maybe a block away at Edmonton. Or just some flashers and walking guy lights instead of a full green, yellow, red for pedtrians. More like 15th ave and the soccer fields, not like winnipeg and Ross. This way it wouldnt interfere (as much) with the traffic at the signal two blocks away. Or the people can cross at Carney. Or they can just ride a scooter and do whatever they want where ever they want…
This crosswalk needs a pedestrian signal. I live right near this accident scene and it is a busy crosswalk. While most drivers stop, there is that odd dummy not paying attention to why other cars have stopped. This is the third accident in the last week. Two crashes at Carney and 15th and this one.
Or, we could just tighten up test for getting and keeping a license?
Drivers are never to blame. It’s always the road or equipment at fault. If a pedestrian controlled crosswalk is installed here you will see drivers and passengers in cars jumping out and pushing the button.
Right o Axman! Maybe have a squad of anonymous drivers out there watching drivers who have just received their Ns. I’m sure many would be taken in for retesting or for re-educating.
