Prince George, B.C. – Plenty of traffic at this weekend’s 39th annual Studio Fair at the Prince George Civic Centre.

“Yeah, we started Friday with just record attendance, lineups out the door,” says project coordinator Lisa Redpath. “A really steady crowd and of course all the vendors inside are really happy.”

Speaking of vendors, she says over 100 are in attendance, and from far away as Quebec and places in between.

“Vendors say it’s a highlight to come here. They love Prince George.”

The public loves the fair too, with people arriving from throughout the northern region.

“People come here as a destination. It’s an example of cultural tourism. It has an economic impact on the city.”

If you’d like to see the fair’s wide array of high end goods – from paintings, pottery and foods all the way to leather, clothing and jewelry, today’s your final chance to do so.

Doors open at 10 a.m. before things wrap up at 4 p.m. Admission is $3 with the chance to win door prizes.
