Are we starting a new tradition? Fireworks on Halloween?
There were times when we did not seem to have $ for fireworks on Canada Day. Why is this being hosted by the City? Is this as a result of the Canada Winter Games and all the fireworks then?
It was a local business, StarlightFX, that supplied the fireworks and also set them off at Lac Du Bois. StarlightFX is also responsible for the much larger Halloween display sponsored by the College Heights Community Association.
StarlightFX also provided fireworks and personnel for Halloween shows at Williams Lake, Vanderhoof and Beaverley.
Apparently thisisme has a vested interest in StarlightFX. I can remember years ago as a kid halloween always had a municipality sponsered fireworks display.
IMHO I think the fireworks around town last night was overdone. For over two hours I was having to calm my dog down.
But maybe that was because it was Saturday night. Next year hopefully won’t go so overboard.
