Prince George, B.C. – Diwali, an ancient Hindu festival, will be celebrated at the Dana Mandi Banquet Hall in the Hart Saturday night.

Put on by CNC’s Students’ Union and International Education Department, it will include a dinner, performances, a dance party, and fireworks.

“Diwali is an occasion that gives us hope and teaches us that evil and darkness will not triumph over goodness and light. It is a time for forgiveness and looking beyond differences,” said student representative and organizer, Kamaljot Chatha.

“We are very happy to be partnering with the International Education Department and Dana Mandi to share this event with the community.”

Diwali is a festival of lights where people typically dress up in their best outfits and light lamps and candles.

Tickets for the fourth annual event are sold out.
