Highway 97 Troubles Continue
Prince George, B.C. – Highway 97 between Summit Lake and Bear Lake has reopened, but another crash has closed the highway at McLeod Lake .
The initial reports on the McLeod Lake crash are that a semi and a pick up truck have collided, and there are serious injuries.
Earlier today, 97 was closed about 15 kms south of Bear Lake as crews worked to clear debris and diesel fuel after two semis collided. There were no serious injuries to report in that crash.
There were a couple of other crashes along 97 north of Prince George this morning. There was one at Salmon Valley and another around Summit Lake as winter road conditions seemed to catch some drivers off guard. Police remind drivers to adjust their speed to the conditions.

Professional drivers involved in both of these accidents.
Maybe some of these truckers are not as professional as they think they are.
Black ice, or instant ice from compacted wet snow. Even the most experienced drivers will find it a challenge to keep the shinny side up.

Hmmm, seems to me there are 4 wheelers involved in both of these crashes. Maybe it was the 4 wheelers that caused these crashes. Maybe some of these 4 wheelers need to take driving lessons.

We are only days or weeks away from the annual Peden Hill Follies, where a chip truck(why is ia ALWAYS a chip truck?) spins out going up Peden Hill jack-knifing and taking up both lanes blocking all traffic. Only things left to be decided are:
-will the truck be beige or blue?
-why does it always happen at 4:30 in the afternoon?
-will the chip truck driver(red headed stepchild of real truckers:)ignore his own lack of driving skills and try to blame “4 wheelers” or YRB?
====================================================
“4 wheelers” up by one over YRB in the red headed stepchild blame game:D
With that early morning snow and then it freezing into ice as tires moved over it, was really icy in many places. Not enough compact to use chains and no sand or salt for awhile. It was VERY slippery. Even with your speed ‘way down, there was very little control.
sounds like a good time to stay off the roads unless you have no choice
Side roads on the hart are a disgrace its’s shear ice for Gods sake,can’t the City put at least a little bit of sand down! Couple of accidents on Dawson road area this afternoon and still no sand this evening!Kids walk this neighborhood to School for crying out loud!!!!
250 still allows 4 yr olds to post here?
