Public Comment Sought on Red Mountain Gold Mine
Prince George, B.C.- The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency has started a federal environmental assessment for the proposed Red Mountain Gold Mine project.
The Red Mountain Gold mine project is located about 18 kms northeast of Stewart BC. It would be an underground gold/silver mine which would produce approximately 1000 tonnes of mineral ore per day and 275,000 tonnes per year The life span of the mine is between 5 to seven years.
The public is invited to comment on how this project might impact the environment, and what should be examined during the environmental assessment.
This is the second of four opportunities for the public to comment on the project.
