Time to Light Up The Plaza

Prince George, B.C. – Here’s a reminder that the 22nd annual Civic Light Up is set to go this afternoon at the Canada Games Plaza.
The lighting of the Civic Holiday Tree in the plaza helps kick off the festivities of the Christmas season and coincides with the Festival of Trees which is taking place
indoors at the Civic Centre.
There’s lots to do starting at 3:30 pm in the Plaza, the Public Library and the Two Rivers Gallery:
- Countdown to the Light Up at 5:00pm
- Skating on the outdoor rink (please bring your own skates) from 3:30pm-6:00pm (weather permitting)
- Figure skating demonstrations (weather permitting)
- Hayrides in the Canada Games Plaza from 3:30pm to 6:00pm
- Live music and mascots in the Canada Games Plaza
- Hot cocoa (free) and churros and pretzels ($2.00) in the Canada Games Plaza
- Light Up Story Time at the PG Public Library (free) at 4:00pm
- Holiday lantern-making at Two Rivers Gallery (free) from 3:30pm to 6:00pm
- Festival of Trees inside the Prince George Civic Centre (admission at the door) from 9:00am to 9:00pm
- Arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Canada Games Plaza at 5:15pm
The Civic Light Up is hosted by the Prince George Civic Centre, the Prince George Public Library, and the Two Rivers Gallery with support from many generous sponsors and supporters.

So, parking at the Library will be NIL!!! think about that folks- there are folks that use the library and like to park there too.
ntkr14, in my opinion, we got to realize that city council doesn’t do anything for the masses, but instead the special few.
Well-was not as good a time as I thought it would be.
With ALL the Sponsors that were named – I expected more.
The Band which was good–did not play any Christmas music while I was there. It was OK of a time.
