Ahbau Street Investigation Uncovers Assault Rifle, Pipe Bombs
Prince George, B.C. – Two people are facing charges in relation to a search warrant conducted by police on Ahbau Street last week.
Dustin Jeffrey Olson and Meranda Leigh Dingwall, both from Prince George and known to police, have both been charged with seven offences following the RCMP investigation.
Corporal Craig Douglass says a loaded “SKS” assault rifle, two live pipe bombs and bomb building materials were recovered during the search.
24 year-old Olson is facing the following charges:
- Possession of an Explosive Device (two counts)
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Device
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing that the Serial Number had been Altered, Defaced or Removed
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon without a Licence
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm without Authorization
23 year-old Dingwall is facing the following charges:
- Possession of an Explosive Device (two counts)
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing that the Serial Number had been Altered, Defaced or Removed
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon without a Licence
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm without Authorization
- Possession of a Prohibited Device Dangerous to the Public Peace
Olson has been remanded in custody until his first court appearance December 1, while Dingwall will make her first appearance later today.
The execution of the search warrant last Thursday closed a block of Ahbau Street for two and a half hours.
