Cougars Stopper Named Goalie of the Week

Tuesday, December 8, 2015 @ 3:21 PM

Prince George, B.C. – For the second time in his career, Prince George Cougars goalie Ty Edmonds has been named the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week.

He won the honour after posting an impressive 3-0 record with a minuscule 0.77 goals-against-average, a .973 save percentage and one shutout last week.

“What a tremendous honour this is for Ty Edmonds and the Prince George Cougars organization,” said Cougars General Manager, Todd Harkins.

“Our goaltending this season has been a huge reason for our success and we are so proud of Ty for achieving this honour for a second time in his career. We know that he’ll continue to build off of this success as our season continues.”

Edmonds first won the honour in October 2013. He’ll look to build on his success when the Cats host the Kootenay Ice tonight at CN Centre.

The puck drops at 7 p.m.
