Winter Officially Arrives This Evening

Prince George, B.C. – Although there are some who  would say  winter officially arrived last week with the  snowfall  in the area, such is not the case.

Winter officially arrives in Prince George at 7:38 tonight and tomorrow will have the  shortest amount of daylight for the entire year.

The sun will rise tomorrow at 8:28 in the morning, and will set at 3:51  in the afternoon.

Winter Solstice. Today is when every thing comes to an end, and tomorrow is when it all returns to life. Truly should have been the New years eve today. However, we still live in history.

I gotta wonder why the winter solstice was declared the official beginning of winter. Nov. 1 would seem a more reasonable date.
