Morning all how is the negativity crew today

Two things
First is my imagination playing tricks or is the running of the gauntlet in front of certain convenience stores getting worse or are the people standing around the doors becoming more aggressive

Secondly I find it funny that we live in the north and with that comes cold and snow it’s a given for where we live yet people are always moaning and groaning about the snow, the cold and bad roads. The first two are easy if you don’t like cold or the snow consider moving to Hongcouver I am sure they would love to have more negative people in the lower mainland. As to the bad roads I think they have been pretty good this year might be that if your bitching about the bad roads might be the person behind the wheel that needs to learn to drive in winter and I stress winter conditions.

Have a great day all

In my world the positive force is strong it is…

In keeping with this weeks theme of a galaxy far far away and the globalist vision of a carbon tax to finely tune the Earths climate, I have an idea for how they can spend some of the $100 billion in new taxes.

Maybe we could put in a request to the powers that be for a multi purpose North Star oriented ionizing ray beam in the skies above PG that would purify the air quality and provide real time air quality indications for anyone with a view to the sky. Shaped like a enormous hockey stick in the sky everyone for miles and miles could see the true north setting without the need for a compass.

We could request that the new global carbon trading center be located at the Northwest corner of the Highway 97 & 16 intersection in a fifty foot tower, with a ray beam originating due South along the Peden hill area, deflecting off mirrors on the roof due north.

If the beam remains a clear blue we would know the air quality is great… if it changes color we would be able to identify the degree of diffusion to ascertain the change in particulate matter, C02 concentrations, formaldehyde, or other air borne contaminants that could impale the reputation of our city. If the dark forces arrive we could turn it on them like a death star beam in defense of the positive force; and send them back to a galaxy far far away….

Its just a suggestion, but I am sure the minds that came up with global warming have even grander plans in the making. If they can sell us on the carbon tax for local economies to subsidize globalization, then surely the sky is the limit and anything is possible.

Time Will tell

My beef of the week is fuel price gouging. Fuel jumped from 91.9 to 99.9… why? Considering crude is at an aĺl time low and supplies are overflowing.
Blatant robbery!

You’re absolutely right watchdog. Mostly it’s the province and the taxes. If you look across the country we are paying upwards of 20 cents more a liter than other provinces. We are being totally ripped off in BC by both government and the dealers. It’s just the norm BC means Bring Cash. With barrel around $35, we should be paying 75 cents P/L or less.

With barrel around $35, we should be paying 75 cents P/L or less.

——–

You should pay what you’re willing to pay and judging by the number of vehicles out on our roads it looks like people are willing to pay 99.9 cents a liter.

There is a price to pay for the lifestyle we have chosen and right now, that price includes paying 99.9 cents a liter for fuel.

Methinks Eagleone got into somebody`s weed stash.

Time to go to work. Hart hi way, left lane, 60 km/hr

I attended the Quinson school Christmas concert this week and it was excellent!
The effort that the teachers, Staff, and students put forth to make this concert a success is something to be proud of.
The people that attended were entertained and were very impressed.
Good Job Quinson !

Merry Christmas.

There are none so blind as he who will not see

I see our holiday gouge at the pumps is in full swing.

He spoke: And a very happy Christmas to you too!
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!!

So, why do so many people take offense to “merry Christmas”. Instead they feel that it is okay to say Happy Holidays. The reason for the anguish is that they do not believe in the religion which celebrates the birth of Christ. So if it wasn’t for the celebration of his birth, than there would be no holiday. if there is no holiday, surely they should not be saying “Happy Holidays”, unless they don’t want to be rude, even thought they may be a hypocrite. So if your going to be hypocrite anyway, just say “Merry Christmas”.

I’m not a religious man, but I can be a hypocrite and say “Merry Christmas”

Went to the Lac de bois, Christmas concert, one word.

CUTE !

Selling the same Gas in your big Tank one Day for 92 and the next Day for 99 Cent! you are like a Black Market Operator, it’s the same all over, but this must make it right ?

Noticed the bike lanes where in rough shape.. havent been plowed yet.. how does the city expect me to ride my bike with roads like that ;)

Anyway, I hope everyone has a safe and merry Christmas. Its usually the one time of year that everyone makes a special effort to get together so I hope yours is enjoyable. Times like this when you have to appreciate the family and friends you have and get to spend time with them, We aren’t here forever so make the best of the time you have.

As this is the last free for all until Christmas…
and maybe the last this year
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate.
Happy Holidays to those who don’t….
For everyone
have a safe week .
I want see you all back next year….

Man, the testosterone fueled idiots were out in full force this morning! I’m not sure what it is about Dodge Ram owners but they seem to be over compensating for something.

See Todd in Ottawa, is running hard already. I guess he wants to be noticed. Good, its about time we had some representation. Oh how we wasted 20 years with useless Dick.

I wonder who the new conservative leader is going to be?

Where’s Jillian when you need her?

@ JoeyTomato

I agree. The Quinson concert was incredible and obviously took a lot of planning. I was impressed with the serious and important message at the end.

I have been nothing but impressed with this school since my child started there!

We need more railways. The amount of semis on the roads are getting out of hand. They have destroyed just about every highway in and out of PG simply because there are too many heavy loads being hauled over the same pavement. The deepness of the ruts has gotten to be a hazard, especially when it rains. They no longer stick to the right lane on 2 lane thoroughfares like they used to, instead they drive 2 abreast passing and weaving in and out of traffic like they are driving a sportscar. I blame a lot of this on the huge number of drivers they pump out of the numerous driving schools in BC. I don’t know how many class III driving schools there are in PG, but it has to be at least 5. For a population barely over 70k that seems excessive. Is it a popular job because society as a whole is getting fatter and we all know that truck drivers seem to have a competition to see who has the biggest gut. And truck driving, with all the sitting behind a wheel for hours definitely is a good spawning grounds for those.

Lets get out and support our Cougars this weekend. Go Cougars Go

HeSpoke:”Good, its about time we had some representation.”

Both of our local Conservative MPs are sitting on the opposition benches! They may be vocal, but aside from that they are not going to have any impact on the majority government’s decisions! So, in reality we are still without effective representation!

So, in reality we are still without effective representation!

We live in the West, we don’t matter. Never have and never will.

Come on people. ..stop signs mean Stop.just about hit 2 different drivers that drove right through signs and these are not young kids both retired looking gentlemen…

Happy Holiday and Merry Xmas, He Spoke.

Does it really matter whether someone says “Happy Holiday” or “Merry Christmas”, or even “Happy Hanukkah” or “Merry Solstice”? They are all wishes for the recipients’ well being. What does it matter how it is phrased, it is the wish that is important, surely. Accept it for what it is: an expression of good will towards you and be thankful for it. Good will towards men, remember!

We have more representation in the west than we ever have had in the past . We have Justin Trudeau . His brother is entombed in Kokanee lake . The Sinclair side of his family have very deep roots in the west (BC) . Did any one notice the Kits beach SaR station is being reopened ? He’s doing everything he said he would . What a difference he is from our former PM , what’s his name . Quasimodo ? He hated BC and it showed .

Thanks for the inclusiveness Ammonra . Glad Yule (solstice ) right back at you . And also to all the Pastafarians.

So, why do so many people take offense to “merry Christmas”.
———————————————————–
Because it’s the biggest and best holiday celebration in the world, and has been for centuries. Non-believers want to be included, they don’t want to be left out of the celebrations, but what would they celebrate, the birth of Jesus? Not a chance, they’d be embarrassed to be caught doing that so they’re doing their best to expunge Christmas altogether. They claim that there are a lot of other religious/pagan/secular celebrations at this time of year so it’s discriminatory to focus on just Christmas. But the fact of the matter is, that it’s Christmas that’s the big one, all the others are minor and there would be no light displays, parties, Santa Claus, no huge celebration at all if not for Christmas.

My turn about drivers… to the person driving the toyota land crusier with the white top.. thanks for cutting me off by the fire hall downtown on wednesday at about 7:30 am.. you parked in the parking lot at the old rum jungle.

Also to the fellow in the black ford who did a U-turn right in front of me on the west side of the traffic circle wednesday around noon.. hope that cell call was important..must have been as you talked all the way down central..

And to the person driving the two rivers flatdeck delivery truck who ran the red light at 15th and carney yesterday at about 2pm, red means stop.. you will have a very short career as a delivery driver is you keep up that bad driving.

Flame off..

Merry Christmas… to all who take offense to this I bet you still take the days off for it.. or work it and get paid extra for working the stat.. If you really are against it then you should not get any extra time off, or any extra pay etc… unless you like being a hypocrite..

Can anybody shed light on why my earlier post got deleted?

Merry Christmas is an acknowledgment to the christian believe system. Notice the connection between Christ, christian, and Christmas. This is why some are offended by the xmas thing that abbreviated the Christ out of the seasonal greeting.

So some brilliant mind decided that it should be all inclusive and now we have “Seasons Greetings” to acknowledge those that do not follow this believe system. Now it does not matter if you are not Christian, you can now participate in this seasonal activity of excess consumer consumption to provide barely considered gifts all around so you don’t look like a shmuck.

What few understand is that the best estimates place Christ’s birth in the spring, not in the mid winter. The reason we have this mid winter festival has nothing to do with his birth, it has to do with inclusiveness to encourage those of other faiths accept Christianity and perhaps join the legions of followers without giving up established traditions.

Th actual origin is a mid-winter solstice festival celebrated by shamanistic societies.

So, early Christianity adjusted things for their survival.

Enjoy the season, enjoy that theoretical Christian charity and altruism, most importantly, enjoy your friends and family.

Price at the pump is a reflection of the US dollar which is the currency used in the world side oil market and the crack spread.

Good morning to all my friends in George . Its an iffy day here in Cow Pie City. Doesn’t know if it wants to rain or snow. Well spring is coming.

I cant seem to get trough to you guys and your driving habits. Tried to give you a lesson on good habits last Friday but to no avail.

I tried to tell you don’t have merge lanes in your City and who needs merge lanes at 50 km’s. What you need to do is fire the contractor that’s setting up your traffic signals. The timings are way to short for the traffic to clear the intersection. I would come up and do it for you but I’m a union guy so you probably are not willing to give me a decent wage.

And who ever came up with the idea that “slower traffic keep right” applied to traffic when seed limit is 80 km’s or more? That sign applies to heavy truck that have to gear down. And I didn’t leave Prince George in the 70’s it was 2013 when I left PG.

Well that’s it. You guys have a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays which t ever you wish.
Cheers

Were you nasty Krusty. Remember no bullying.

Cheers

Hey people in the Prince George region, even all the crankypants on 250 – I feel so lucky to live in this wonderful city. So happy holidays to you!

Retired02, no, I actually suggested we stay away from comments with racial overtones (see post #1 at the top), commented on a documentary I watched last night called “Sand Wars” and included a link, and wished everyone the best of the season. can’t figure out what I did wrong.

Editor’s note:
Your comment wasn’t deleted, it actually never made it on to the site. Whenever someone posts a link , the comment automatically goes to the trash bin, as was the case with yours. It is just the system’s way of preventing spammers from getting you to follow links to sites which may infect your computers. You are right, the term hongcouver should not be allowed on this site, and that reference has been removed.

Krusty what you did to borrow from Hart Guy is upset the puff pastry liberal left. Musent post any truth.

Ataloss,(stockaloss) how are you liking Yellens 25 BP raise now? Now, no fibbing.

“There are many of us who never considered Harper as any form of representation for the West! The guy was/is clueless and is an embarrassment!

hart guy.. now how about a list of all the mistakes harper made.. you will be busy all through the Christmas season writing them.. :)

P Val, it took you guys 10 years to hate Harper! It’s only taken 2 months for the rest of us to hate Justin, haha!

You lefties keep saying that Harper is gone, so I guess that means that all of his mistakes are now water under the bridge! So, you lefties should be now focusing on the mistakes that Justin is making! If you open your brainwashed eyes, you will see that you will have a lot, an awful lot of mistakes to focus on! ;-)

By the way, P Val, I see that you haven’t provided some evidence, any evidence for that matter, to dispute my last post!

Elections over guys! Kept Left Except Except Hart Guy!

anyone watch Canada’s Worst Driver–we have a few ‘Polly’s’ in our town today. Slow down, and please aware of the other drivers around you. Yes, it’s a busy time pre Christmas. BUT

Eagle One – Kudos on your first post re: the climate change taxes.

Your ray beam is on par with the unicorn and rainbows plans of the feel good liberal left wing happy happy joy joy crap that led to Canada sending over 350 people to France on airplanes puking out hundreds of tons of carbon so they could all sing kumbaya in a circle and eat good food and take in the sights.

After glad handing and patting themselves on the back for coming up with yet another way to hoover money out of our wallets and add more load to the yoke on the backs of the middle class already bent in half with the strain of paying for the carbon taxes and other crap like The Twerp’s promise of billions of dollars to give to other countries to “fight climate change”( which they had to rename from “global warming” because the truth is the climate is getting cooler.

I digress. Guess i’m being negative.

Hey but at least he has nice hair and will appear in Vogue.

Have any of you actually found real live people who were offended when you wished them Merry Christmas? I haven’t. It’s really funny too, because you’d think it would be hapenning every five minutes the way people go on about it.

My advice is simple. Be kind, wish people Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays or whatever you choose. And when people do the same to you, even if you don’t follow their tradition, say thank you and be happy that they took the time to wish you well.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Leggings and yoga pants at work place.

As a male, I think these are awesome. I mean, how else can we tell how you groom your private bits, and how shapely your legs are from top to bottom.

Us males have to wait until summer before all the revealing apparel comes out, so this is awesome!

Plus, the added benefits of a wide variety of patterns and snug fitting.

So, Please ladies, keep on wearing all those revealing clothes that expose you cleavage and put on public display all your most personal attributes. The tighter and more revealing the better, we want to count the change in your pocket.

Of course, you should never get upset about being admired for your excellent style choices. There seems to be no concern about appropriate for environment, so sure, dress like your going on the prowl at the cabarets. Everything is acceptable these days.

There are not really any rules of conduct today anyway. It is a total freedom of choice.

Todd Whitcombe your carbon science knowledge is out of date, see above.

Todd before the C02 started rising it was getting low dangerously low, you should read up on that.

Loki,

Don’t know what to say except…Thanks! I enjoy the view as well!

And I thought I was the only one out there perving their bits…:)

Loki too true , been thinkin much the same as you when it comes to how the ladies choose to dress . Just don’t get caught looking to close .

Thanks, Elaine, and keep up the good work – O250 is an essential service in my estimation! Best of the season!

What post are you talking about hart guy? Seems your list vanished into the realm of bull$hit

China issues the second red smog alert for Beijing this month. Most of the pollution is blamed on coal-fired power plants, along with vehicle emissions-… world’s biggest carbon emitter, China plans to reduce hazardous emissions from coal-fired power plants by 50 per cent over the next five years…China relies on coal for more than 60 per cent of its electricity but is in the process of shifting to (!) nuclear, solar and wind power.

So much for the claims that emissions from burning fossil fuels are clean and harmless because all the pollutants are filtered out before the leave the smoke stacks!

A real gong show out there on our hwy’s today. Why don’t you dummies just stay home?

Glad your comments are completely not negative.

I agree 100% Dumbfounded. Some should not leave their driveway.

Most of our lifestyles require the use of an automobile. Pretty much everything that happens on this planet requires the use of some type of fossil fuel powered mode of transportation. He who holds the keys for the fuel to make them go are gods and they know it. Most of us are stuck with our fuel gods aren’t we? Unless someone comes up with a cheap alternative to what we use now, we are at the mercy of the gods. Good luck trying to have them give us a deal on our fuel. Human greed is the most prevalent disease on this planet.

For acrider55& Dumbfounded

I have to agree with you, after driving to Williams Lake and back today.

If you are out there and are nervous about it, at least have a look in your rear view mirror, and if you have 4 or 5 vehicles behind you, give them a break and let them pass. Some won’t pass until there is a passing lane, so giving them a break by pulling over, I’m sure will be appreciated!

Religion, the source of all evil.

Dumb you talking about the hero’s in lifted 4×4’s ? couldn’t agree more .

the religion comment I can agree somewhat but not 100% . Merry Christmas everyone make the best of it whatever you believe . and no I’m not a Christian .

Loki , I’ve thought for years that some one should crowd source a statue of that global hero Chip Wilson . I can see it now . Chip and a small crowd of ladies . Yoga square Vancouver has a nice ring to it .

Of course Religion says, “The love of money is the root of all evil.” And the collection plate is passed. Maybe one of those chicken/egg arguments?

I’m liking the raise quite a bit Dow . And that’s no fibbing . I have very little Canadian exposure . The stronger the U.S. Dollar goes the better . Expect four more rises in 16 . How long will canada lag the rate hike ? When will canada raise ? Will we have a sixty five cent dollarette before they lose their nerve ? How are you liking it Dow . Is it putting money in your pocket or taking it out ?

Hey Bent it obviously doesn’t occur to you in the least incy wincy way that your life revolves around trucks. You probably think about teachers and firefighters the same way right.

Man, my post got deleted! I didn’t ever swear or anything! Guess that I put out too much factual info about how poorly Justin has actually been doing!

Or maybe it was my puff pastry comment, haha?

Oh well, I guess that I’ll try to be nicer in the future No more puff pastry references!

ataloss. Strong USD is meaningless if your long the US market and it blows apart. I am short the us market. Getting a nice bump on both fronts. Although it has been a painful position to be a bear in a bull market.
It is now payback time. This US market has been a massive manipulation. The thieves on Wall street have been winning with the feds zirp. Something that can’t go on for ever will eventually end. Wish I knew when. Maybe now??

How about that Laura Miller, the recently resigned Executive Director of the BC liberal Party that has been charged in Ontario with breach of trust, mischief, and misuse of a computer system to commit mischief. Triple deleting emails is part of the investigation against her.

Wow, that thing Adrian Dix did, sure is a lot worse than this latest scandal involving the Christy Clark govt of BC hey?

It’s all good BC liberals supporters, the rest of us understand how bad the NDP and Adrian Dix really is.

It’s OK Retired02, with all the travelling I have done to the Chilliwack area over the years I never stay in the hotels/motels there due to the manure stench at certain times of the season. I always go straight through to Abby. It doesn’t have the same aroma some claim it does.

Th actual origin is a mid-winter solstice festival celebrated by shamanistic societies.

Totally untrue, Loki,

The idea that the Dec. 25 Christmas date was borrowed from the pre-existing pagan festivities is incorrect. There are actually two dates for Christmas, the Roman (western) Dec. 25 and Orthodox (eastern) Jan. 6 (sometimes Jan. 7 or 8).

The choice of Dec. 25 as Christmas would appear to be entirely coincidental to any other festival and instead is connected to the Jewish Passover celebration. The early church wanted to establish the actual date of Jesus death. It was known to have taken place on a Friday during Passover. But the date of Passover varies from year to year because it begins on the night of the first full moon after the spring equinox. Because moon phases are out of sync with the calendar, that date changes every year. Using all the data they could find, the church chose March 25 and April 6 as they most likely dates of the crucifixion. (We now know that it was April 3 in the year 33.) There was a belief at the time that a holy man would die on the anniversary date of his conception. Thus if he was conceived on March 25 or April 6, his birth 9 months later would be Dec. 25 or Jan. 6, thus the Christmas celebrations at those dates.

We now know that Dec. 25 isn’t the date of his birth but since we don’t know the actual birthdate and since we’ve been celebrating it on that date for centuries, might as well keep it up.

Merry Christmas.

Dow . Huh ? And Huh ? It’s actually never been zero interest . But you’re right . The interest rate hike is a very bullish signal .

That Toddd stone is pretty cleaver . He announced the 3mill transit for hy16 before announcing a 3 billion + bridge down in 604 . Other wise the 3 mill transit would have sounded like a fart .

“Mac’s Convenience Stores facing class-action lawsuit from temporary foreign workers.

Hundreds of temporary foreign workers have launched a class action lawsuit against Mac’s Convenience Stores, claiming they paid more than $8,000 to get jobs in Canada that did not exist.

The notice of claim, filed with the B.C. Supreme Court, alleges that from December 2009 onwards the workers were recruited in Dubai to work at Mac’s stores in B.C., Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Saskatchewan under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

But, the claim says, when the workers arrived in Canada, they found the more than 425 jobs they had been contracted to perform — the only jobs they were allowed to perform under their TFW permits — were non-existent.”

LMAO! Our govt brings them in and screws over Canadian citizens and this is what we get.

Welcome to Canada my behind!

ataloss,Huh,The fed fund rate was essentially zero. We actually had periods of negative rates and likely will again. Do you follow credit markets at all?

The market sure isn’t looking at the hike as bullish. The Fed has it wrong. The global economy is screwed. The US will be in rescission in 1996.
But stay long, please. You need to be humbled.

I guess my first post went way over peoples heads. lol There is the absurd, and then there is the absurd….

Anyways the new Star Wars tonight was great. I think they did a great job with this one, much better than the last couple of prequels.

I agree the interest rate ponzi scheme end is near. Just getting to the 30-year average will bring on a downward spiral the likes we’ve never seen IMO.

Say Bent those truckers you are all bent out of shape over, brought you all your stuff. All of your stuff.

Oh, and a very merry Christmas to all the truckers that hauled Bent’s stuff and everyone else’s.
