Prince George, B.C. – The Downtown Winter Fair will help ring in the holiday   season at the Prince George Civic Centre today.

This is a free family event with Christmas music, lots of twinkling lights, Santa’s corner photo booth and more than 100 local vendors with all kinds of items for last minute shoppers.

There is also a bake sale with proceeds of the sale and a portion of the table rentals going to the Youth in Philanthropy program run by the Prince George Community Foundation.  All of the baking which goes unsold will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul.

And you’re invited to pack your skates with you to enjoy some fun on the outdoor ice surface.  There will also be hot chocolate and coffee on hand to take the chill off.

The Downtown Winter Fair runs from 10 this morning until 4 this afternoon.
