It’s Movie Day at the Salvation Army Church
Prince George, B.C. – The Salvation Army is inviting Prince George residents to an event today which is being held in support of its Tree of Lights campaign.
A family movie day is taking place at the Salvation Army Church on Ospika Boulevard, running from 11 am until 5 pm. The Army’s Bill Glasgow says there will be two or three family-oriented movies running throughout the day.
Tickets are $5 and you can pick them up either at the Coast Inn of the North or at the church at 777 Ospika Boulevard. Popcorn and drinks will be offered for a donation.
So far the Tree of Lights campaign has raised $16,099.90.
Meantime, today is Fill The Kettle Day at Walmart stores across the country.
Walmart Canada will match donations made by individuals to
Salvation Army Christmas kettles located in its stores today up to a maximum of $100,000.
The Salvation Army’s Kettle campaign has so far raised $177,183.38 in Prince George this Christmas season.
