Prince George, B.C. – The Celebration of Lights at the Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum is a great show that seems to just get better as each year passes by.
There are now thousands upon thousands of lights involved in the massive display, now that the Northern Lights display from Connaught Hill is permanently incorporated into the museum’s seasonal show. And Executive Director Ranjit Gill says an absolute treat is taking the miniature train ride. “It’s phenomenal”, she says. “There are so many lights that have been added. You’ll be amazed.”

And there is plenty of amazement for the youngsters. Besides the dazzling lights they get to spend time by the fireside indoors, chatting with Santa and Mrs Claus.
Another amazing feature is the miniature village, which, with Lisa’s touch, keeps on growing each year. This Christmas season its been moved from the second floor of the museum building to a small house just across the yard. The multi-faceted village is impressive, to say the least.

I really get a kick out of seeing the Penny station lit up from the community I grew up in. I caught the train a many of times from it.
