Red Nose Ramps Up for New Year’s
Prince George, B.C. – Operation Red Nose Prince George is still looking for volunteers to help out on New Year’s Eve.
“Right now we only have about 23 road teams lined up which is not enough to keep up with the demand for rides we expect on December 31. It’s our busiest night of the season,” said spokesperson Andrea Johnson.
“Since 2010, we typically deliver more than 200 rides thanks to a group of dedicated people. If there are former clients or volunteers who’d like to help us out, that’d be great.”
Those interested in volunteering can learn more online at www.ornpg.ca and drop their application off at the RCMP detachment by December 23 to ensure it’s processed in time.
All volunteers must be 19 years of age and get a Criminal Record Check.
As for weekend four, 282 safe rides were delivered for an eight week total of 850.
