North District RCMP Deliver Christmas
S/Sgt Major Scott Howard, Emma Stevens (Finance) ,Judy Fowlie (Office Support), Inspector Amanda Jones (Ops Support Officer) get ready to deliver the goodies they collected.
Prince George, B.C.- North District RCMP have done it again, making a family’s Christmas wishes come true.
In the past the team working out of the North District bulding on 5th Avenue in Prince George, has taken part in Watch challenges to collect items which were then donated to the Salvation Army, or collected gifts and food for seniors. This year, they focused their attention on one family.
“Our efforts this year were to make a special Christmas for a single mom who has a teenaged boy and girl” says Corporal Dave Tyreman, the North District’s media liaison officer. “She had provided us with a list of things they needed, but we added some extras.”
While addressing all the needs, the folks at North District added some “treats” says Corporal Tyreman, “Household necessities and of course some chocolate and a flat of a variety of soft drinks, everyone should have some treats at Christmas.”
In all, those who work out of North District’s 5th Avenue building filled two vehicles with everything this particular family will need to have a Merry Christmas.
