Prince George, B.C.- With bright sunshine, and a temperature of minus 12, the Polar Bear Dip at Ness Lake Bible Camp is another one for the history books.
In all, 53 people either raised funds, or paid $20 to take part in the annual event at Ness Lake.
The top fundraiser had chalked up $1,000 in donations, but since he didn’t meet his ‘goal’ did not have to take the plunge in the icy water.
There were costumes galore, including Superman and the Joker, ( image at right) as well as mother-daughter teams like the one shown below left
This was the 15th year for the event, which draws participants from throughout the region, and this year, had one “dipper” from Australia.
