Witala Named WHL Player of the Month

Prince George, B.C. – 20 year old Prince George Cougars forward Chase Witala has been named the WHL Player of the Month for December.
In 13 games last month Witala scored 14 goals and added nine helpers for 23 points.

His offensive prowess included back-to-back hat-tricks against the Vancouver Giants and the Kootenay Ice.
“His consistent play was a big reason why we had the month that we did in December,” said Cougars coach Mark Holick. “We are proud of any player’s accomplishments that reflect the successes of our team.”
Witala is the first Cougar to win the award since Todd Fiddler back in January, 2014.
