Quesnel, B.C. – RCMP in Quesnel and the North District Major Crime Unit are investigating a sudden death which occurred in that community on Friday.

Quesnel RCMP say that just before noon on Friday police and Emergency Medical Services responded to a 911 call that came from a residence in the 100 block of Brears road North in Quesnel.

Officers attended the residence and found a 67 year old man who was deceased. Evidence at the scene led officers to believe that the death appeared suspicious in nature and North District Major Crime was contacted to assist in the investigation.

The cause of death has not been determined and the investigation is continuing.  No further information is being released at this time.

Quesnel RCMP do not believe there is any current risk to the public in relation to this investigation.
