Friday morning I paid 99.9 for diesel in PG. later in the day I paid 89.9 in Hope.

it has been a long time since I have seen diesel under a buck

I wonder when people will realize that the price of oil has nothing to do with the price of gas. The price of oil is set by Opec and the price of gas is set by your friendly gas supplier.

The price of gas is just in illusion for the gas supplier to rip off the consumer. Ever notice how the price of gas goes up during the summer months during high consumption periods when the use of vehicles increases. Just watch where the price of gas will go this summer.
Cheers

Weird, you’re telling me gas prices follow a basic economics principle of supply/demand? Of course prices go up when more people are on the road. More demand, lowers the overall supply, and increases the price. Econ 101.

That said, we’re still paying an inflated rate. With oil under $30/barrel, price should be much lower considering we were paying 1.45/litre when the price of a barrel was approaching $160.

Costco is leading the way again…thanks!

Now isn’t this wonderful the price of produces goes up because of high fuel cost, now it won’t be going down ? the last I know they were still moving produce by the same mode of transport. They never talk about the Dollar when that happens ,,, bend me over once again..

Some just don’t get the message. Yeah its economics 101. Its just a rip off in plain English. I guess some just cant resist hearing themselves talk.
Cheers

gwf, it’s not the fuel that is making the produce so costly. It is the U.S. dollar the same as beef prices. Most of the beef purchased in Canada by the supermarkets is from either Cargill or J.B.S. These prices are based on the USDA price so with our dollar so low that means our cost is 40% higher than it would be if we were at par.

Here is a rip off, Westjet and air Canada are making record profits because of the lower fuel prices. Still charging higher fares and fuel surcharges.

Alberta Western Canada select is now only about $17 a barrel. The barrel costs more than the oil. Barrel costs US $78.39 .

Paid 72.4 in Edmonton the other day, nice!

Wait until they join in the carbon tax scam.

Retired I’ll be passing through cow patty in a couple of days, where can I get a good deal on a bullet proof vest?

Is it not illegal as a civilian to own a bullitproff vest ? It’s amazing how you whine about the carbon tax . It’s 6.67 cents per litre of gasoline . Does that really change your world ? Do you know where this” scam “money goes ?
