Like there is not a crackshack or 2 that need to taken out..Hmmmm..What a waste of courts time and monies….
this is always a tough one for me, good job for cracking down on illegal drugs, but if i have to deal with someone high on pot or someone high on crack or other stuff i will pick the pot smoker, they are not as unpredictable in my honest opnion. although there have been a few busts lately with the more dangerous drugs and guns and money too i suspect they are harder to go after than a lowly pot grower. I applaud the RCMP on all they do and apprecate all ways they try and keep us safe.
I think the worst violence i’ve seen from anyone high on pot is fighting over a bag of chips.

It’s the gangs that control the drug trade that are the problem, they’re the ones resorting to violence.
I thought the libs were going to legalize pot. I guess the cops will have to pressure crown to jam this through the courts before that happens or they’ll lose their bust. It doesn’t seem right that you get the same charges whether you grow dope or run a meth lab.
It’s not about whether or not pot makes one violent or not. It’s about the illegal activity that goes along with it and other drugs often used by the pot smoker or dealer. Plus, whether you believe pot is harmful or not, those dealers don’t hesitate to sell to kids, and to me, that’s not right.
Juror’s last point is exactly why pot needs to be legalized pronto. Keep kids away from it by putting it in stores and treating it like wine or beer. When I was a teenager, beer was hard to get and pot was easy to find.
juror you are right… Most of the pot smokers I know use another drug as well..it’s called alcohol.
Canada has treaties about drugs including pot. So it is not a slam dunk to legalize it. Trudeau new this going into the election, just another promise he cannot keep and the media got sucked in.
Kids smoke cigarettes and they are illegal for them to buy but they still do. How is putting marijuana in stores going to stop kids from smoking it?
Many people don’t believe it but people who smoke pot a lot then dry out will go into withdrawl and can turn violent and angry I’ve seen it first hand with relatives and it’s not pretty
Personally I have no problem turning in anyone who smokes or grows weed I have no use for it or any other controlled substance and that includes friends and family. You may not like my stance nor agree with m views but that is your choice I have my reasons for disliking the use of a controlled substance
Seamutt.. The states have the same treaties yet they have legalized it in certain states..not the country yet, but once all the bugs are ironed out and they see the money being made off of it and the money no longer being spent on enforcement on it expect it to be legalized.
I agree with strictlyspeaking, if its legalized the value should decrease and as such the gangs and shady groups won’t be the ones controlling and distributing it in mass as the value should drop.
Stella, you are correct, pot alone will not make a person violent, but when they combine it, pot gets the blame. Oh well, Young Justin will make it all better, in about 10 years when the International Conventions we signed on to have been changed.
Dearth, yer right, sorta like a guy who can’t get a smoke.
Dearth, I know lots of people who used to smoke pot daily and stopped cold turkey for many reasons, got married, had kids, new job, just didn’t want to partake anymore.. And not One had any kind of reaction.. Sorry but what ever your family member was getting clean from was not just pot.
As for this international conventions signed.. Why should any other country tell us what to do or how to live. Time to man up and do what Canada decides to do for Canada, not listen to others.
Who knows of anyone on this planet that has DIED from Cannabis??/
How many of you know of that have Died from Booze??and ciggybutts?
My buddy did break his leg when a 100lb bale hit his leg!!
The gangsters are Poisoning your kids with..Meth..Crack…Fentys..E…Oxys..and they can get Booze from Your home….
And axman most intelligent thing I have seen you post…….

Where do users of the legal drug alcohol that has ruined more lives than any other fit into your story?
“Many people don’t believe it but people who smoke pot a lot then dry out will go into withdrawl and can turn violent and angry I’ve seen it first hand with relatives and it’s not pretty”
I have seen that when some people cold turkey off Tim Horton’s coffee lol
Funny how cigs, alcohol and all the prescription drugs are socially accepted and legal, but weed isn’t. I’ts weed people, not meth.. which you can make out of household items and a trip to Shoppers..
Nobody argues more vehemently about their indescretions than dope smokers. They have a million arguements as to why its the greatest thing. Here is the probem: as it stands it is ILLEGAL. If you don’t like that then lobby, write letters, run for office – whatever you like to get it legalized. Until that point all of the justification you do does not change the fact that you are just another d-bag law breaker tying up police resources in your selfish drive to avoid reality.
Oh – and I’m sorry that your life is so boring that you have to use dope to enjoy it.
intercourse….ya sound like the Idjiots that used to live by me…Hmmmm!Only one fix for ignorance…..burp,fart,Scratch….ho hum!I bet ya can wiggle yer ears with it stuck there EH!!
We shall call that post “exhibit A”
LMAO
