Outdoor ice oval opens for skating today. 250 News archive

Prince George, B.C. – Some good news for those who enjoy skating outdoors, the outdoor ice oval behind the Kin Arenas will be open today.

The Outdoor Ice Oval Society says the efforts of the ice making crew coupled with a slight dip in temperatures means they will be able to open the facility at 10 this morning.

And the oval should remain open for the foreseeable future.  Following today’s expected high temperature of plus 1 degree, highs for the coming week will be just below the freezing mark with lows considerably lower, resulting in excellent skating conditions.
