Prince George, B.C. – The Cariboo Cougars skated to a convincing 8-1 win over the Kootenay Ice Saturday night at Kin 1.

Devin Sutton and Trey Thomas scored a pair for the Cougars, while Riley Coish, Jeremy Gervais, Jesse Pomeroy and Ethan O’Rourke added singles. Bradley Ross replied for the Ice.

Dorrin Luding made 15 saves to get the win, while a busy Curt Doyle made 43 stops for the visitors.

The Cougars improve to 23-7-3 while the Ice fall to 4-24-2.

The teams complete the weekend series starting at 9:15 this morning.
