Prince George, B.C. – The Cariboo Cougars had a hot BCMML weekend, outscoring their opponent 16-3 over two games at Kin 1.

On Sunday, Devin Sutton and Trey Thomas scored two goals each for the second straight game as the midget Cougars completed a weekend sweep of the Kootenay Ice with an 8-2 win. The hosts took Saturday night’s encounter 8-1.

Christopher Jandric, Mason Richey, Ty Kolle and Tyler Maser also scored for the Cougars, who improve to 24-7-3 in BC Major Midget League action this season. The Ice fall to 4-25-2 with the loss.

The victories over the Ice mark the end of the Cougars’ home ice schedule for the regular season. The team travels to Abbotsford next weekend to face the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds.
