Prince George, B.C. –  One death has been confirmed  in a crash  on Highway 97,  south of the  intersection  with the Old Cariboo Highway.

Witnesses tell 250News the  crash  scene is in the “dip”   which is north of the  intersection with Buckhorn Lake Road.  The vehicles involved are a  small truck and a semi.

There is no word  at this  point  if others have been injured and if so,  how many or the seriousness of those injuries.  Highway 97  is closed  through that area.  There is a detour available  via Damms Road to Willowcale FSR.
