Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire tonight at the Lombardy Trailer Court on the 2100 block of Norwood Street.
Assistant Chief Denis Poulin says 21 firefighters from four halls arrived just after 5 p.m. to find one of the occupants putting out a small fire located in the porch area.
He says the fire did spread into the walls but notes crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.
Poulin estimates damages at $20,000 and has deemed it suspicious adding “occupants heard noise from the porch and went to investigate and found clothes burning in a plastic container.”
He says there were three people home at the time but that there were no injuries.
