2015 Canada Winter Games Up for Three Awards

Prince George, B.C. – Just as the City of Prince George gets set to launch its Celebrate Prince George Winter festival, to recapture the feeling of last year’s Canada Winter Games, comes word the 2015 Games are finalists for three awards.
The 2015 Canada Winter Games are a finalist for the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance’s Prestige Award in the following categories:
CSTA Sport Event of the Year ( with a budget of over $1 million dollars)
- 2015 Canada Winter Games
- 103rd Grey Cup Festival
- 2015 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships
CSTA Sport Event Volunteer of the Year:
- 2015 Canada Winter Games Host Society Chair Anthony Everett ( in photo at right)
- 2015 ISF World Men’s Softball Championships Brian Kosteroski
- Nash Cup International Squash Tournament Jay Nash
CSTA Sustainable Sport Event of the Year
- 2015 Canada Winter Games
- 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup
- 2015 Pan/ParapanAm Games in Toronto
The awards will be announced in Ottawa on March 7th.
