Fireworks display at Exploration Place

Prince George, B.C. – Exploration Place  in Prince George,  brought in the Chinese Year of the Monkey with a bang,  well, actually several bangs and a lot of  fireworks.With  mild temperatures,  no  rain or snow falling,   more than a thousand  Prince George residents  turned out tonight to see the display.   The parking lot at Exploration Place was packed, and vehicles  were parked along 20th  Avenue from  the museum to Queensway

Each explosion of fireworks  was  punctuated with the sound  of a car alarm  or two  that had been triggered by the  blast, but no one was concerned,   all eyes were on the sky and the light show.

Inside the museum  it was  a night to  show appreciation to  those   who   support the  museum, and to  launch  the  new exhibit,  which  pays homage to the 2015  Canada Winter Games.   The exhibit  is open to the public tomorrow.
