Celebrate Prince George Festival Schedule of Events Friday Feb. 12

Busy day ahead with music, dance, basketball and hockey• 10:15 AM Public Library – Bob Harkins Branch: Yoga Story Time. Join certified yoga teacher, Denise, as she blends the joy of stories with gentle yoga poses to create an interactive, energizing and fun story time for you and your preschool child (3-5yrs).

• 4:00 – 9:00 PM Railway and Forestry Museum: Free admission. Enjoy free admission with a non-perishable food item donation. There will be a bonfire and you can roast a hot dog or smores (for a small fee).

• 5:15 PM Public Library – Bob Harkins Branch: Teen Nerf Tag. Bring the whole gang or come solo and meet people in this unique teen nerf tag. Register early (free) for this popular after hours event.

• 5:30 – 6:30 PM – The Movement Group Fitness Mecca: Free Group Fight Class for Ages 13+. Pre-registration is required. 13-15yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

• 6:00 PM Northern Sport Centre: UNBC Timberwolves Basketball. Cheer on the Timberwolves Women’s Basketball team as they play the MRU Cougars.

• 7:00 – 11:00 PM Treasure Cove Casino: Country Icons Present a Tribute to the Legends. Enjoy a great night of music with the Country Icons as they pay tribute to the legends: Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson, and Waylon Jennings.

• 7:00 PM CN Centre: Prince George Cougars. Prince George Cougars vs. Kamloops Blazers.

• 7:00 – 9:00 PM Shiraz Cafe and Restaurant: ZONNIS live music. Live music in a relaxed dining atmosphere.

• 7:30 – 9:00 PM Judy Russell’s Enchaînement Dance Centre: A taste of dance for adults. A free sampler of dance for adults of any ability: Ballet, jazz, hip-hop and modern.

• 7:40 – 9:00 PM Chinook Yoga: Community Yoga Class by Donation. • 8:00 PM Northern Sport Centre. UNBC Timberwolves Basketball. Cheer on the Timberwolves Men’s Basketball team as they play the MRU Cougars.

• 8:00 PM Theatre NorthWest: Dreary and Izzy. A beautiful tale of two First Nations sisters and the true power of unconditional love.

• 8:00 – 9:30 PM Elksentre: Free Public Skate at Elks. Skate rentals available for $3.50.

• 9:00 PM Cariboo House: George Canyon. George Canyon is coming to the Cariboo House at Heartbreakers on his “Jekyll and Nothing to Hide” tour, showcasing his latest music from his recent album and performing his greatest hits.
• 10:00 PM – 2:30 AM Lambda Cabaret: Glow Your Status. Show your status with a coloured glowstick  $5 cover.
