Prince George, B.C.- The BC Forest Safety Council has a new CEO
Rob Moonen ( in photo at right) has been appointed to the top spot of the BC forest sector’s health and safety association.
He is no stranger to the BC Forest Safety Council, having previously been the Director of the SAFE Companies division of the BCFSC.
Board Chair, Ken Higginbotham says Moonen’s “knowledge, depth and breadth of industry and health and safety experience are well-matched to industry’s need to eliminate serious injuries and fatalities.”
Moonen assumes his new responsibilities March 16th, taking over the position that was held by Reynold Hert who announced his retirement at the end of last year.

He left to go to the oil patch a few years ago. One of many people to return when the opportunities in BC began to look better.
Something about where the grass is greener.
