Prince George, B.C. – The provincial government has proclaimed February 15 – 19 Chamber of Commerce Week in British Columbia.

Prince George Chamber of Commerce CEO Christie Ray says it’s nice to have their work recognized.

“Chamber Week happens once a year and it’s important to recognize great work from any organization, whether it be a business or an organization like the chamber, which does everything that we can possibly do to help support businesses in our membership and the community itself ”

This year’s theme is ‘Empowering B.C. Businesses’ – and in recognition of that the chamber has scheduled a special workshop on Thursday.

“Specifically what we’re looking at this week is networking and marketing, two of the things the chamber does very well. And we really like to bring our member businesses opportunities surrounding these topics.”

The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society at 1270 2nd Avenue.
