Just after 5:00  this morning,  Prince George RCMP received a report of a female with serious injuries in the Moore’s Meadow area.

An adult female was found a short time later off Foothills Boulevard.  She remains in serious but stable condition.

Investigators now believe the adult female was a victim of a targeted shooting. Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area of Moore’s Meadow along Foothills Boulevard between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM on Monday February 15th, to contact investigators at 250-561-3300.

Police have recently reopened a portion of Foothills Boulevard from 1st Avenue to Otway Road.  This segment of the road was closed in order to protect evidence.  Moore’s Meadow, a popular park with dog owners, will be reopened before 6:00 PM.

Investigators believe this was a targeted attack and that public safety is not in jeopardy.
