LNG not part of revenue planning
Prince George, B.C. – Finance Minister Mike deJong says revenue from possible LNG projects has not been included in the development of the current budget.deJong says there are 20 LNG projects proposed, “And the Province will continue to pursue this stream, however we are prudent in our forecasts, and though we have seen substantive progress in this industry in B.C. , we have not included LNG projects in our revenue projections at this time, pending the announcement of final investment decisions.”
He says the province is working hard on the Softwood Lumber agreement file. “The Premier and the government have already taken the lead in mobilizing Canadian governments and the forest sector to respond to this challenge. Developing new markets in India and elsewhere is a key component in our strategy to respond to American protectionists who are unable, or unwilling to compete with the best producers of forest products anywhere in the world, located right here in B.C.

Those so called American protectionists have kept the BC and Canadian lumber industry alive for many many years. Seems to me if dejong had any clue at all about developing the lumber industry he would have been in India many years ago.
LNG is not part of revenue planning because there is no revenue. Duhhhhh.
Good Plan. LNG is not a given. Although much has been done. It’s not a done deal at all. Good Planning.
