Prince George, B.C. – Selen Alpay made a donation worth meowing about this morning.
The owner of the Prince George Canadian Tire presented a check worth $2,000 to the Prince George Humane Society (PGHS) which will be used to benefit abused and abandoned animals.
PGHS executive director Angela Lotze says the money will help them complete a cat room once they open up their new adoption and humane education centre next month.
“It’s nice to see these folks looking out for a lot of animals that need shelter,” said Alpay. “And we’re just happy to be part of that.”
Lotze called Canadian Tire one of this communities “animal heroes” and said it will help them ensure the cat room has a properly functioning ventilation system.

Nice to see the support from Canadian Tire.
The article also states that the new society will be opening up their new adoption and humane education centre next month. That is great news as well.
Does anyone know where it will be? I checked on the Humane Society’s web page but could not find anything about it.
From what I understand it will be located just off of 1st Ave behind Rogers Meats.
