Prince George, B.C.-  Search teams are  combing an area south of Prince George, looking for a  man from High River  Alberta.

Last night  Prince George RCMP were  advised that 53 year old  Douglas Wayne Bruynzeel  had left a relative’s home on Patterson Road East in the Red Rock community, approximately 30 kilometres south of Prince George.

Bruynzeel  was on foot and set off in search of his dog that  had gone missing the day before. 

Bruynzeel’s  vehicle was still in the driveway.  A ground search of the area was conducted in darkness, but did not produce any positive results.

A full scale search began this morning.   Weather permitting; a search from the air will also be conducted.

Douglas Wayne Bruynzeel   ( shown in photo at right) is described as:

• Caucasian male
• 53 years old
• 180 cm (5’11”)
• 93 kgs (205 lbs)
• Blue eyes
• Brown hair, but currently bald
