Volunteers Needed for Movie Shoot
Prince George, B.C. – Those looking for their 15 minutes of fame look no further.
Producers of the hockey-themed Canadian feature film ‘Hello Destroyer’ are looking for volunteers to help fill the CN Centre next Wednesday.
“We’re looking to do a big hockey sequence and we’re trying to time down a one hour component for us to film the crowd as a wide shot,” says the film’s co-producer Bernie Yao.
“We’ll be there all day but we want people to fill CN Centre as much as possible and get some close-ups of the crowd.”
He’s asking people arrive at the rink by 6:30 for an evening of fun.
“We really hope to make it an enjoyable experience, we’ll put a movie on the jumbotron if that’s possible and keep things lively,” says Yao. “We’ll also be raffling off some prizes and hockey jersey’s from the movie. So if people are free we hope they can join us and have a good time.”
Yao and his crew have been shooting in Prince George since February 17 and will continue until March 12.
He says working in Prince George has been a memorable experience.
“Prince George has really embraced us and welcomed us and we’re so lucky, we really feel like we’re making the film with the community. Every single day you guys give us such a big boost of positive energy.”
