Power Restored For 9,000 BC Hydro Customers

Prince George, B.C. – BC Hydro has gotten a handle on the majority of this afternoon’s power outages.
At its peak the outage, which was prompted by a midday wind/lightning storm, had affected over 9,400 BC Hydro customers from areas all across Prince George and its surrounding areas for about two and a half hours.
There are now just over 500 customers without power in small pockets of the city. Those areas include west of Foothills Boulevard, south of Otway, and west of Miworth Road.
No word yet on when power will be restored for those customers.

Thanks to Hydro crews for relatively quick but efficient restoration of power north of the city.
