Expect Delays on Old Cariboo Highway

Prince George, B.C.- Expect some delays if you are using the Old Cariboo Highway between 16 and 97 this hour.A crash involving a semi tractor trailer unit and a pick up truck has reduced traffic near Cummings Road.
There is no word on anyone being serious hurt.
it is expected it will take some time to extract the semi from the ditch.

Good point. How does a truck or semi doing 30 km/hr hit hard enough for anyone to end up in a ditch? Be interesting to get the post-crash review.
Word from folks who live by the school is that the truck driver took the ditch to avoid the pickup truck who ran the stop sign.
Sounds like the makings of a country and western song…

By the look of the signs on the East side of the road, it looks like he was just about to clear the school zone.
A container trailer is bound to be top heavy. It doesn’t take much with one of those.
