Spring Break a Busy Time at YXS

Friday, March 11, 2016 @ 1:01 PM

yxsPrince George, B.C. – If you plan on using Prince George Airport (YXS) this spring break there’re some steps you can take to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

“So spring break we traditionally see an increase in passengers visiting the Prince George Airport,” confirms marketing and communications manager Lindsay Cotter. “So we remind people to arrive 90 minutes before their departure and that just helps with congestion and last minute check-ins.”

She also advises people check their website for the most up to date flight information before leaving home and to pack “smart.”

“Make sure you’re packing smart and packing your carry-on bags and checking the rules with what is allowed and what isn’t. All of that can be found on the CATSA website.”

And while some may assume today is the busiest day at the airport, Cotter says that’s not necessarily the case.

“This weekend is pretty spread out. Some people have left already, others leave today and some people take the second week,” she says.

“So there isn’t traditionally one afternoon or one morning that sees a mass exodus out of here but basically for the next couple of days we’ll see an increase in passengers.”

No wonder gas prices are shooting up………spring break, they gotta nail you if you want to go someplace with your kids.

I wonder if someone will suggest families with children use skype instead of flying. :-)

Lots and lots and lots of people use air travel for vacation purposes. I surprised that Suzuki, Gore, Dicaprio et al haven’t pointed out what a huge carbon footprint these trips have!

After all, who really needs to go away for vacation, right Leo? Right David? Right Al!

    Right Ataloss, haha!

Suzuki leaves a carbon trail to and from Australia. While down there gives an irrational speech then writes off his holiday. Hypocrite. Oh and his houses are at sea level. One can’t make that stuff up.

I am not getting the sea level connection, unless you think he ought to hoist some sails and use wind power. While traversing the seas, he could use skype to stay in touch. :-)
