Prince George, B.C. – Prince George RCMP are investigating a fatal accident which occurred on Highway 97 north early this morning.

Around 1 am the driver of a pick-up lost control of the vehicle which then rolled on the highway and wound up on its roof in the northbound ditch of highway 97 near Austin Road.  Earlier, Drive BC had incorrectly identified location of the accident out near Johnson’s Farm on the Hart Highway.

At this time police have not confirmed the number of people who were in the truck.

Highway 97 has been closed to all traffic between Austin Road and Handlen Road since the accident occurred.  It is estimated that section of the highway will have at least limited traffic moving through it between 9 and 11 this morning.
