Valemount, B.C. –  Highway  16 east,   4 kms east of Tete Jaune Cache,  is expected to  soon reopen to single lane alternating traffic.

The highway has been closed since  shortly after 8 this morning  when a  commercial transport and SUV collided.

Drivers of both  vehicles were  pronounced  dead at the scene.
