Cariboo Cougars Eliminated from Post-Season Play

Surrey, B.C. – The Cariboo Cougars playoff run came to an end in Surrey tonight.
The Valley West Hawks defeated the Cougars 9-4 to win the BC Major Midget League championship series, two games to none.
The Cougars had built up a 2-0 lead before falling behind 4-2 by the end of two periods.
They fought back to tie the score early in the third before the Hawks scored the final five goals to secure the victory.
Josh Maser scored twice for the Cougars, while Trey Thomas and Jesse Pomeroy scored the others.
With the win, the Hawks will now represent B.C. at the Pacific Regionals.
